Investment banker says cosmetic surgery enhanced her life

A rising number of people around the world are turning to cosmetic surgery in a bid to enhance their looks and one woman has spoken out about her positive experiences of such procedures.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, an investment banker, who wished to remain anonymous, told Oprah.com that her career prospects had been boosted by the operations she underwent. In total, the woman, who is now 55 years old, had ten procedures.

She noted that she wanted to achieve a "killer body" and she started by having liposuction at the age of 24.

The career-minded individual followed this up with breast implants and a nose job and, following these procedures, she had her ears pinned back.

Meanwhile, she has also made use of tummy tucks and a facelift, among other things.

Commenting on the impact of her cosmetic surgery, she said: "Not only did my romantic options explode, but my career instantly shifted into a higher gear. I was suddenly being courted by senior partners, included in meetings with the CEOs and CFOs of current and prospective clients.

"I thought, 'Wait a minute - I'm the same person I was before the surgeries.' But now I looked like a bombshell in addition to being really good at my work, and it definitely opened up more opportunities."

After she made this realisation, she began to see the procedures as an investment, she added. Meanwhile, the banker went on to note that her treatments have given her greater confidence.

She stated: "I'm not as vulnerable as I was before my surgeries, and I'm more careful about who I choose to be with. I choose people who love me for me."
