Toronto, Canada – GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) is offering its 16 slot media converter chassis equipped with dual cooling fans. It works with card-type media converters. It accepts 16 media converter cards within a rack-mountable chassis which is supplied with unified power. It is an ideal solution for the continuous development of networks.
This 16 slot media converter chassis, model C0340002, features overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuit protection. It reduces links, simplifies structure and eases management and maintenance. It allows hot swapping of media converters. The media converter chassis has an LED status panel for slot and fan power status and features a 19-inch standard design to save expensive data centre space.
This 16 slot media converter chassis can be powered by single power or dual power to meet the user's application requirements. If a dual power supply is used, the load of each power supply is reduced and the life of the power supply is extended. If one power supply faults, the other one can work independently thus enhancing the reliability of the rack. In addition, 10/100M, 10/100/1000M converter cards can be plugged into it. Every 10/100M converter card occupies one slot, every 10/100/1000M Converter Card occupies two slots.
This 16 slot media converter chassis belongs to GAO’s family of Frames. Another product in this line is 14 Slot Media Converter Chassis which features plug-and-play installation and is equipped with dual cooling fans. It accepts 14 sets of 10/100M stand-alone media converters within a rack-mountable chassis which supplies unified power. It is an ideal solution for the continuous development of networks.
